METACITY SUEDKOREA
Germany / Korea 2007
City, country, river – to distinguish between these three criteria, is getting more and more difficult within the „Metacity South Korea“. Not only is Seoul the third biggest metropolis in the world, but also you can find a big metropolitan carpet spreading out between Seoul and it’s southern counterpart, Busan. This area is including a plethora of architectural strongholds comprising millions of people. The rise of the „Metacity South Korea“ and the linked loss of rural space has been illustrated in the very graphical pictures taken by the German photographer Nils Clauss. He is focusing either on dynamical, urban spaces or paying attention to poetical or bizarre disruptions, which sometimes come into existence.
