THE VISION HALL MEDIA WALL AT HYUNDAI MOTOR GROUP UNIVERSITY IN MABUK, SOUTH KOREA, RECEIVED THREE RED DOT DESIGN AWARDS IN THE CATEGORIES OF BEST EVENT DESIGN, BEST INTERACTIVE FILM, AND BEST CORPORATE FILM. HYUNDAI MOTOR GROUP, DO HO SUH, AND UNIVERSAL EVERYTHING ASKED ME TO DOCUMENT THE INSTALLATION THROUGH PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILM. AS A PHOTOGRAPHER AND DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY, I SUPPORTED THEIR AWARD APPLICATION WITH STILL IMAGES AND VIDEO MATERIAL.
VISION HALL IS PART OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT CENTRE OF HYUNDAI MOTOR GROUP. THE SPACE HELPS EMPLOYEES EXPERIENCE THE COMPANY’S PHILOSOPHY IN A VISUAL WAY. TO ACHIEVE THIS, THE HALL USES ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY, INCLUDING A 36-CHANNEL 3D SOUND SYSTEM AND A MEDIA WALL MEASURING 24 BY 3.5 METRES. THE WALL DISPLAYS INTERACTIVE CONTENT IN UP TO 48K RESOLUTION ACROSS 730 MICRO-TILES. THESE ELEMENTS COME TOGETHER TO CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT THAT FEELS IMMERSIVE AND ENGAGING.
THE CURRENT MULTIMEDIA EXHIBITION FEATURES WORK BY INTERNATIONAL ARTISTS. IT AIMS TO SPARK AN ONGOING DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE COMPANY AND ITS EMPLOYEES. THROUGH THESE ARTWORKS, VISION HALL OPENS A SPACE FOR REFLECTION AND ENCOURAGES OPEN COMMUNICATION. THE INSTALLATION SHOWS THE COMPANY’S INTEREST IN CONNECTING WITH ITS WORKFORCE AND CREATING ROOM FOR NEW IDEAS.
