Overview

DEUTSCHE SCHULE SEOUL INTERNATIONAL (DSSI) IS THE GERMAN SCHOOL IN KOREA, MAINLY ATTENDED BY GERMAN AND KOREAN KIDS. THE FACILITY HAS BEEN AT ITS CURRENT LOCATION SINCE THE YEAR 1976. DURING THE PAST 3 YEARS THE ARCHITECTS AND PLANNERS “ZABEL & PARTNERS ARCHITECTS” DEVELOPED A CONCEPT TO MODERNIZE THE EXISTING FACILITIES TO MATCH THE NEEDS OF A MODERN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL. MORE CLASS ROOMS AND A NEW LIBRARY WERE ADDED. THE DESIGN IS SUPPORTED BY A STRONG COLOUR CONCEPT. EACH OF THE THREE BUILDINGS ON THE SITE IS REPRESENTED BY ONE MAIN COLOUR. GREEN FOR THE MAIN BUILDING AND YELLOW AND ORANGE FOR THE OTHER TWO BUILDINGS. THE COLOUR CODING IS CONSISTENT WITH THE NEW SIGNAGE HELPING TO FIND THE WAY AROUND THE PROPERTY. I WAS COMMISSIONED AS A PHOTOGRAPHER TO DOCUMENT THE NEW INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE OF THE SCHOOL IN SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA, FOR ZABEL & PARTNERS ARCHITECTS.
