Overview

THE GERMAN ARCHITECTURE OFFICE ATELIER BRUECKNER COMMISSIONED ME AS A PHOTOGRAPHER TO DOCUMENT THEIR GS CALTEX PAVILION FOR THE WORLD EXHIBITION IN YEOSU, SOUTH KOREA. THE BUILDING IS SURROUNDED BY A FIELD OF METAL BLADES WITH INTERNAL LED LIGHTS THAT FLASH IN DIFFERENT COLORS AND PATTERNS, CREATING A STRONG VISUAL EFFECT.

THE GS CALTEX PAVILION RECEIVED THE 2012 RED DOT DESIGN AWARD IN THE CATEGORY OF BEST EVENT DESIGN. ALL PHOTOGRAPHS USED TO SUPPORT THE AWARD APPLICATION BY ATELIER BRUECKNER AND GS CALTEX WERE SHOT BY ME AS PART OF THIS PROJECT.
