Overview
As part of a global campaign, we followed two groups of friends as they were given a full Jameson experience in their respective cities – Seoul and Toronto. The project unfolded simultaneously on Saint Patrick’s Day, connecting Seoul and Toronto through shared energy, music and movement.
Contented partnered with Motherland as the service production company, handling the Seoul side of the shoot while coordinating closely with the Toronto team. Neil Dowling covered Toronto, and I worked as A VIDEOGRAPHER in Seoul. Although the cities were thousands of kilometres apart, the intention was to create a sense of parallel experience – two stories unfolding at the same time.
In Seoul, we moved quickly through different neighbourhoods, bars and street locations, staying close to the group and reacting to whatever the day brought. The approach was observational and flexible. Rather than staging moments, we focused on capturing genuine reactions: surprise, laughter, anticipation – as the day escalated.
The challenge was rhythm. Both cities had to feel connected in tone without looking identical. Light, architecture and pacing naturally differed between Seoul and Toronto, but the shared sprit of the event held the narrative together.
Jameson City Sessions became less about spectacle and more about atmosphere. Two groups of friends, two cities, one occasion, filmed in real time by teams working in sync across continents.
